When popular MMA fighter Rampage Jackson and volatile Compton rapper Game went out for the same role in the film adaptation of 80's TV show 'The A-Team,' few could have predicted that the decision to cast Rampage over Game would result in beef between the two entertainers.

Bryant also said he did not want Drake to fall into typical movie characters.
"We wanna start entertaining these movie offers. Drake is looking to come out with the role no one else expects. He's not gonna be the teen heartthrob or the college kid. He wants roles where he can show his acting skills. Like a sci-fi or action picture." (VIBE)

The book is billed a 1000-page collegiate text that studies the impact of hip-hop within the African-American community, as well as the current role of rap lyrics as a strand of modern poetry. Yale Publishing mainly focuses on academic texts, so this is yet another indication that hip-hop as gone all the way from the streets to the academy since its birth in the late '70s.
Wiz Khalifa's major label debut has rolled into a pretty good spot on the Billboard charts this week.
The Pittsburgh native's latest, 'Rolling Papers,' made a second place finish on the Billboard 200 chart selling just over 190,000 copies. Although final figures have yet to be released, Khalifa's album met industry expectations with its sales. He lost the top spot to Britney Spears whose seventh release, 'Femme Fatale' beat the 23-year-old by close to 80,000 copies. Khalifa however topped the Hip-Hop/R&B charts and took to his Twitter page to thank his fans.
