From commenting on scandals to being in the middle of one, Wendy Williams had to do a 180 this morning, during the taping of her eponymous daytime TV show earlier today. Apparently, the rumors are just that - rumors.
As per E! News, Williams didn't waste any time addressing the juiciest story that graced the tabloid headlines over the last twenty-four hours, which involved her husband, Kevin Hunter, allegedly engaging with a decade-long affair with a massage therapist in New Jersey. Sharina Hudson, a 32-year-old, has supposedly been keeping up the extramarital affair with Hunter just down the street from Williams' mansion in the Garden State, with Hunter spending nights over there multiple times a week. However, while the rumor mill spins as fast as it can, the TV personality quelled the speculation as best she could.
"It's weird doing Hot Topics and being a hot topic," she began, eliciting some supportive applause reaction from her studio audience. "It's some sort of weird story going around the Internet regarding my husband." She didn't go into details about the story itself, but instead plowed headlong into her response. "You can believe what you want, but..." she said, proceeding to hold up her left hand to show that she was still wearing her wedding ring. "I stand by my guy," she declared. "We commuted this morning."
The sharp, pointed monologue continued, with Williams put fans' minds at ease about the state of her relationship with her husband. "All is well in Hunterville," she continued. "Don't believe the hype and if there was hype, believe me you—I would let you know." To conclude the opening of her show's personal tangent, she had another strong line waiting for the detractors: "I'll be following this story, so I guess I'll have to watch to find out what happens." As we reported yesterday, Hunter and Williams have been married for 20 years and have one son together, Kevin Jr. Her husband manages Williams' career and also heads a production company that is owned by both of them.
