Neymar will become most expensive transfer ever.

Barcelona has officially terminated Neymar Jr.'s contract after accepting a world-record payment of €222 million, activating the 25-year old superstar's buyout clause.

The deal, which was in limbo earlier today when La Liga rejected the payment, paves the way for Neymar to move on to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to ESPN FC, Neymar is expected to arrive in the French capital tomorrow to sign off on a five-year deal with PSG worth an estimated €30m annually, after tax. That's the equivalent of $35.6 million dollars per year.

Once the ink has dried, Neymar will become the most expensive transfer in the history of the game, more than doubling the €105m f Paul Pogba received from Juventus last year.
