The artist formerly known as Shy Glizzy is ringing in the new year with a new, but familiar name: Jefe. Pulling the moniker from his beloved Young Jefe series, the DC rapper has shared his new EP The World Is Yours this week, which features 8 new tracks that suggest his music will remain consistent. The opener, Get Money 4Life, pairs Jefe with another rapper who's just recently taken on a new pseudonym, YoungBoy Never Broke Again (formerly NBA YoungBoy). The laid-back Southern bounce suits both artists well, with Jefe continuing to develop his hooky flow. Meanwhile, YoungBoy brings a naturally melodic flow reminiscent of the bluesy sing-rap we've heard from Kevin Gates and other artists from Louisiana rap history.

Quotable Lyrics:
Where I'm from gotta stay with that pistol
Bitch I just got off the phone with Glizzy
Touch down in DC you know I ain't slippin'
Them boy quit playin' you know we gon' kill 'em
