Sylence is a rising rapper out of Brooklyn, NY, and while there is some classic boom bap influence in his sound, he skews closer to the hazy world of Curren$y than some of the grittier street rap of his city's past. His new record, aptly titled "Chillax," embodies the stoner-friendly atmosphere of Spitta's music, but similarly, that's not its only appeal. Sylence displays both style and charisma throughout the record, banking on personality over aesthetic. He's looking to share a new project in December 2016, but before that arrives, he'll be dropping new songs as a part of a series deemed #theCollection throughout the summer.
Quotable Lyrics:
Just relax, let your mind go
Ain't no telling where my mind go
Just had my mind blown
Pineapple express platinum kush
Had me sounding stupid like George W. Bush
