In our interview with Chicago's Adamn Killa last December, the rapper spoke of his collaborations with the WeDidIt and Bromance production collectives. On his new mixtape I Am Adamn, those sessions are very much present, with beats from Bodinski and Shlohmo, among others. "Too Late" finds Adamn teaming with Shlohmo on a slow-burning track that's more classically soulful than the rest of the project. Adamn opts for a low-register croak that's as textural as it is melodic, scraping against the bottom of the restrained synth groove.
