West Coast duo Clique Of Bruhs (made up of Joe Fresco and Sneak-E Da Sneakster) does a good job of balancing Bay Area history with the fresh sounds of the region. On "Been Doing This," the Clique team with Clyde Carson, an Oakland-based rapper who's also always done his part to keep up a lineage with the scene's pioneers while experimenting with new sounds. The result is a track that bangs as hard as anything out right now, with nods to the legacy of E-40 and the like.
No word on when we'll be hearing a new project from the duo, but we'll definitely be keeping an eye on them in the meantime. What do you think so far?
