New York doesn't have the star-studded lineup of rappers it once did, but there are certainly a good roster of promising up-and-comers. Of course, one of the city's problems over the last few years is a resistance to collaboration, with many emcees taking the stand-offish approach introduced by 50 Cent in the 00s.
Luckily, that mindset is finally starting to dissipate,a nd the scene is all-the-better for it. Today we've received a new record from Bodega BAMZ and Flatbush Zombies, who prove that working together is a necessary part of making great music. The record will appear on BAMZ' upcoming album, Sidewalk Exec, which is out April 14th.
