If you came to Tinashe's debut album, Aquarius, looking for 12 more "2 On"'s you would have left disappointed. The lead single from the album was a misleadingly upbeat statement for an LP built almost entirely off of slow grooves. However, there was one record that channelled the same club-ready spirit as the DJ Mustard banger, and unsurprisingly it's been selected as the next release.
"All Hands On Deck" is some more West Coast-infused pop constructed by Stargate and Cahsmere Cat, the team behind both Kid Ink's "Body Language" and Ty Dolla $ign's "Kitty" (Tinashe is featured on both, not-so-accidentally). The single version of the record is bolstered by a new verse from Iggy Azalea, which should get it a bigger look on radio.
Quotable Lyrics:
Wasted heart
When you left me, you left me with no choice
I'm looking for a boy to fill this empty void
Kiss the old me goodbye she's dead and gone
