Johnny Polygon is in the midst of preparing his new album, I Love You, Goodnight, and while details of the upcoming full length are still scarce, we can now hear the first release from the project in the form of "The Fall". The darkly minimal track is built off of a guitar loop, and a simple kick and snare, relying on Polygon's colorful vocals to do the majority of the heavy-lifting.
From his near-spoken word, Stones Throw-esque rapping, to the sung harmonies on the hook, Johnny steps up to the plate, proving once again that his unique style as as a vocalist has always been the main draw.
Quotable Lyrics:
I killed a man 'cause he hurt my sister
He's somewhere, and probably don't miss her
Fuck it, I'll go to hell, 'fore I go to jail
I'll burn a bridge 'fore I give a shit
And while I'm standing on it, take a piss
'Cause I'm serious 'bout my craziness
