Asad hails from South Central, Los Angeles, but his music doesn't bear the sunny G-Funk sound that the region has been coming back to recently, instead opting for a dark gangsta rap for comparable to Vince Staples and Aston Matthews. If he continues down the unique path he's set for himself, we could very well hear a lot more from him in the near future.
