As a result, the city's traditional hip-hop sound has informed his own music, and "On My Way" is a perfect example of the ways boom bap creeps into his songs. The record, shared as part of his weekly series back in July, gets the video treatment today, as the gritty Alchemist beat plays through the NYC subway system. OG Maco, who provides ad-libs throughout, replicating a DJ Premiere-esque vocal sample, does not appear in the video, but Jace holds it down, displaying style and charisma as he tears through the NY underground.
