DJ Quik's late-career hot streak continued last month when he dropped The Midnight Life, an album that garnered mostly positive reviews from critics. Now he's back with a video for "Life Jacket," a summery album cut that also features Suga Free and Dom Kennedy.
With Suga Free keeping his pimp reputation alive with a dope verse delivered from a boat, the "Life Jacket" video goes on to show him, Quik and Kennedy playing poker in a dark room. Kennedy holds his own alongside the two L.A. legends with an ill verse that describes how he ended up on the track.
