Scarface shares details of how he's been recovering over the last three months since first being diagnosed with COVID-19.

While we're happy to report that Scarface survived his frightening bout with COVID-19, the Geto Boy rapper is far from being back to normal. After millions of people defied "Safer At Home" orders and decided to storm city streets to protest for the Black Lives Matter movement and against systematic racism, government officials decided now was the time to ease back into opening up businesses. This doesn't mean that coronavirus is a thing of the past, but people seem to be more concerned with getting back to "normal" over health issues associated with COVID-19.

One person who can tell you that COVID-19 is a real danger is Scarface, who, back in March, revealed his coronavirus diagnosis. In a recent interview with Fox 5 D.C., the legendary rapper detailed how his recovery has been over the last three months and how his body has been ravaged by the virus. “By the time the 15th of March got here, I was blood sick. Dead sick,” Scarface said. “COVID attacked my lungs first, and then it attacked my kidneys and knocked them out. I got full lung recovery, but my kidneys never came back."

The shortness of breath—a common symptom of COVID-19—doesn't seem to plague Scarface anymore, but he did reveal that he can't walk long distances. “I’m still a little weak. I don’t have a lot of strength in my legs yet. I still haven’t got full taste back and sense of smell yet," he told the news outlet. "But I am glad to be alive." We continue to send well-wishes to Scarface and hope for a full recovery.
