Beyoncé, Cardi B
Beyoncé & Cardi B may have had a No. 1 hit under their belts, but according to producer J White Did It, a leak put it all to screeching halt.

Many times when there are unapproved music leaks, artists will follow up on the unfortunate event by sharing the official version of a song in its entirety. That apparently wasn't the case for Beyoncé and Cardi B, who reportedly had a collaboration in the works, according to producer J White Did It. If his name sounds familiar, it's because he's the person responsible for Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" and Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," among other hits. He recently chatted about a 2017 collaboration between the New York rapper and Lemonade star that almost happened but was instead thwarted by the dreaded curse of the leaks.

"I was just as giddy as everybody else. I was sitting there just waiting, looking on the internet then it leaked... Bro, three years ago I had a Beyoncé play with Cardi and that kinda went sour because it went viral that they was doing a song together and that cut out," J White Did It said. "This time the song leaked before the song came out... But listen, that song came out when I say I sat like this," he added, pausing for a period of time in silent disbelief. "For like, ten minutes."

We can only imagine how a Beyoncé-Cardi B collab would have been received, not to mention where it would have landed on the charts. Maybe there's still hope for the future. Check out J White Did It speaking about the collaboration that never was below.
