Charlamagne Tha God
Charlamagne Tha God and Rush Limbaugh chatted about white privilege, and after Limbaugh said he doesn't believe it exists, "The Breakfast Club" host shared why he didn't think that talk was productive.

People tend to say that the only way the citizens will understand one another is if they sit down with others who have opposing views to have an open dialogue. That's exactly what Charlamagne Tha God did earlier this week with conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh. They discussed a variety of political topics, including white privilege, something that Limbaugh stated doesn't exist.

“At first, I said, ‘You’re being delusional right now,’” Charlamagne recalled. “What really bothered me about that conversation is, after I left that conversation I felt like it wasn’t productive. I have no problem talking with people from the other side, I just have to feel that that's really your truth. I don't know if I got that from Rush. It felt more like a performance."

The stream was recorded for both The Breakfast Club and Rush Limbaugh's show, and Charlamagne stated that Limbaugh began taking callers once the interview was over. "A caller asked him, 'What is white supremacy? What did Charlamagne mean when he said white supremacy, white privilege?' He broke it down so eloquently. Rush broke it down like he knew exactly what it was. So, I was just like, 'Why were you playing cool when I was having a conversation?' It didn't feel productive. It felt like a waste of my time."
