Jordan Peele tweeted his support of John Boyega after the "Star Wars" actor gave a passionate speech

Days ago, Star Wars actor John Boyega gained international attention once again after sharing an impassioned video supporting Black Lives Matter. Not only did he say he hates racists, but the British actor also implored his followers to delete him if they were either racist or justified the behaviors of the officers involved in George Floyd's death. John Boyega began trending on social media as there were mixed responses from fans, as some people supported him using his platform while others took the time to criticize him for his remarks.

As Black Lives Matter protests have begun popping up worldwide, Boyega surfaced in London at Hyde Park where he delivered a rousing, emotional speech. “Black lives have always mattered,” Boyega said to protesters. “We have always been important. We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless. And now is the time. I ain’t waiting…We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd. We are a physical representation of our support for Sandra Bland. We are a physical representation of our support for Trayvon Martin. We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence.”

“I’m speaking to you from my heart. Look, I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this, but f*ck that," he tearfully added. “Today is about innocent people who were halfway through their process. We don’t know what George Floyd could have achieved, we don’t know what Sandra Bland could have achieved, but today we’re going to make sure that won’t be an alien thought to our young ones.”

When news of Boyega's latest speech circulated, Jordan Peele made sure to let the actor know that his career would be just fine. Someone shared photos of Boyega holding his bullhorn and Jordan Peele retweeted the message along with a caption that read, "We got you, John." Check it out below.
