YBN Almighty Jay
Jay's preparing for his next release.

The violent attack on YBN Almighty Jay may have knocked him down, but it sure didn't knock him out. Following the assault that left his face slashed with a rumored 300 stitches, Jay returned home from the hospital and dropped a new music video, "Let Me Breathe." His recent Instagram posts suggest that he readying a new album because he says, "I Got A Story To Tell." In the most recent video that the rapper shared on the 'Gram is a montage of clips from live shows and behind-the-scenes footage that ends with the words, "Legend dropping soon."

As Jay gets fans hyped about his forthcoming album, his alleged attackers, known as the Jack Boyz, were apprehended by NYPD. Zae Numbafive, a reported prominent member of the group, was said to be one of four members taken into custody on charges unrelated with Jay's assault. Zae Numbafive was the person who released a music video brandishing Jay's stolen chain.

The rapper also posted an Instagram story video clip of himself with Dreamdoll, someone who he said helped him recover through his ordeal. "Shoutout To All My Family, Friends & Fans That Kept Me In High Spirits While I Was Down," Jay wrote. "'I Love Y’all. I Want To Give A Special Shoutout To @dreamdoll. The Realest Woman I Know, Stayed By My Side The Whole Time I Needed You & Ill Love You Forever & Ever❤️ You’ll Always Have A Special Place In My Heart Babe. Queen 👸🏽 💍💕"

In this most recent clip with the "Queen," Jay makes fun of Dreamdoll as she looks peeved in the car with him. She quickly tells him to get the camera out of her face, but you can tell that these two can't stay mad at one another for long.
