She has a few features in mind but won't give specifics.

On Friday evening, Cardi B walked the red carpet for the 2019 Spark Party in West Hollywood. Donning colorful hair and showing off her horizontal lip piercing. Variety correspondent Marc Malkin was able to chat with the rapper for a few minutes before she made her way inside. Cardi revealed that she wants to release a new album this year, but following up the success of Invasion of Privacy has put a bit of pressure on her.

"I'm not sure [when new music will come], I just know that I'm starting to prepare myself now because I'm really trying to put out [an] album for this year, but my last album, Invasion of Privacy, it just went three times platinum, so now it's just like, aw snap. It’s big pressure on me,” she said. “It’s like aw snap, what the hell am I going to come up with?”

She wasn't giving up too many details, if any, on who she wants to work with on her sophomore effort. "I don't know," she said. "But you want to know something? There's two boys that I met with, well two guys, two men, they're not big artists. They're actually...they aren't really well-known, but they're amazing artists and I really want to put them on my album." Malkin tried to get Cardi to spill the tea, but she just said that she's "not allowed" to tell just yet. “Y’all will find out in October who they are,” she said. “I’m not saying the new album is out in October, but you will see why.”

Before the event, Cardi gave followers an up close and personal look at her custom "Kulture" earrings as she shared a video clip on Instagram of her rapping her "Clout" lyrics from Offset's Father of 4 album.
