Daniel Craig will finalize his acclaimed role in "Bond 25" for the film's 25th installment.

We're still another two years out from the release of Daniel Craig's final stint as the illustrious James Bond in Bond 25 and there is already an announcement that the film's release date has been pushed back. The film was slated to be released on February 14, 2020, a little Valentine's Day treat for fans of the franchise, but it's being reported that Bond 25 will now hit theaters just a few months later on April 8.

Beasts of No Nation and Maniac director Cary Joji Fukunaga is the directorial eye behind this latest Bond adventure, with many speculating on whether or not he'll be able to pull off Craig's final portrayal of the iconic character. Bond 25 marks the 25th installment of the spy franchise, a highly anticipated mark in James Bond history.

“I don’t think you can pick [favorite Bond movie] though,” Fukunaga told Indiewire, “because every single one of them has brought their thing to it and it's nice to have that difference, it’s nice to have the change of the character over time.[...]Over the years, you’ve seen a lot of different iterations not only of Bond, but of films that have mimicked it or copied it,” he said. “So I think the exciting part actually is going to the original source, and being able to play in a sandbox.”

There has been much speculation as to who will take over the title of Bond now that Craig is bowing out gracefully. The social media storm for Idris Elba was notable, but it did come with its controversy over whether or not a black man is fit for the suit.

Bond 25 will begin production this year on March 24.
