The single comes from her 2018 release, "Lovers Rock."

Filmed in Australia, British R&B singer Estelle and Denzell Williams co-directed the visual for her latest single "Lights  Out."  The slow grooving track drips with romance, flirtation, and summer vibes—and the artsy visual matches that energy perfectly. Estelle released her fifth studio album Lovers Rock back in September, and "Lights Out" is featured on the record alongside two previously released singles "Better" and "Love Like Ours" with Tarrus Riley.

The singer recently caught up with Ebony to discuss the importance of showcasing her roots on her latest effort. Born to a Grenadian father and Senegalese mother, Estelle was taught much about her heritage and ancestors while growing up in the U.K. Listeners can hear her cultural influences on Lovers Rock, especially through her collaboration with dancehall artist Konshens and Nigerian record producer Maleek Berry.

“They’re all artists who make the music and come from the places that the music originated from," Estelle said. "I think they are just as great and amazing as whoever is being popular appropriating [the sounds]."

Quotable Lyrics

'Cause there ain't no question
my mind's always open for you
I wanna be the one you run to yeah
Hey
Call it obsession
But my body's calling for you
I've fallen for you
