The trio jazz things up on the track.

On 4/20, Bun B and Statik Selektah dropped the album we didn't know we needed when they released TrillStatik. The 10-track record boasts features including Method Man, Talib Kweli, Big K.R.I.T., and Uncle Murda, blending Statik's east coast roots with Bun B's Texas flavor. The duo jazz things up on their single "I Know," a song where singer Haile Supreme adds his melodic vocals to the chorus. For the bulk of the track, Bun B reflects on what's truly important: it's not what you make in life, but what you make of it.

The southern rapper has much to be grateful for as he recently went- toe-to-toe with an intruder who attempted to break into his home after confronting his wife at the front door with a gun. Bun defended his home and his family by shooting the gunman before allowing him to flee as he begged for his life. Thankfully, no one else was hurt during the altercation.

Quotable Lyrics

I take a moment for the moments I reflect on
Some I got right and some I got dead wrong
But I’m headstrong, so I don’t even worry
‘Cause it’ll all pass, quick, fast, in a hurry
