Curry scores film & tv deal with Sony.

Golden State Warriors All-Star point guard Steph Curry has reportedly signed a deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment, that will allow the two-time NBA MVP to produce television, film and possibly some gaming projects.

According to the Associated Press, Curry and the company he has co-founded, Unanimous Media, will have their production headquarters on the Sony backlot in Culver City, California. The projects developed by Curry's company will focus on family, faith and sports themes. As of now, no specific projects have been announced but Curry said in a statement he wants to use the deal "to affect the world positively."

In the meantime, Curry is focusing on his return to the court which could midway through the second round of the NBA Playoffs. According to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, Curry is "not close to playing" and it appears as though he'll need the full six weeks to recover which would put his return closer to May 4.

"It is looking as if the ligament will need a full six weeks to heal. That six-week point would be May 4. That could mean it’s more realistic for Curry, who no doubt is desperate to return to action, to return for Game 3 of the next round — especially if you factor in the Warriors’ usual cautiousness."

The Warriors will host the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 tonight (10:30pm ET, TNT) with a chance to advance to the second round where they'll take on the New Orleans Pelicans, who swept the Trail Blazers in the first round.
